Dryland growers will have an opportunity to learn about the newest crop varieties an practices during WSU’s Lind Field Day Thursday morning.  The Lind Dryland Research Station, WSU and USDA researchers will share the latest information on winter and spring wheat breeding efforts, soil microbes, winter pea varieties, agronomy, markets and much more.

 

In addition to the latest research, growers will have an opportunity to meet Andrè-Denis Girard Wright, the new dean of the College of Agriculture.  He will chat with stakeholders and discuss the future of WSU Ag research and its partnership.

 

Members from the Washington Grain Commission, Washington Association, of Wheat Growers, Pacific Northwest canola Association and the Washington State Legislature will be on hand as well.

 

Registration starts Thursday morning at 8:30 a.m. with the field tour starting at 9 a.m.
