Whether it be wheat, potatoes, apples or other commodity, a USDA report shows that growers received less money on most commodities this August as compared to 2015.

Wheat was down about a dollar per bushel in Oregon and a dollar and a half in Washington. Hay was down $20-30 per ton in all three Northwest states. Barley and processed potatoes also saw declines.

There was some good news as milk, fresh potatoes and apples all saw bumps over last year with apples going from, on average, about 29 cents per pound to almost 45 cents per pound.
