Just how huge is the 2017 U-S Census of Agriculture?

"We'll be releasing over 6.4 million unique pieces of data," said Joe Parsons, Chair of the National Ag Statistics Board.

He added the data needs to be broken down in order to be useful.

"The power of the census is the ability to visualize and understand important change for key topics in agriculture and the national, state and county level,” Parsons noted.  “We also do tabulations at other levels as well, for example, for Congressional districts"]

The Congressional district profiles and rankings from the 2017 Ag Census are now available to the public on the NASS website.  Reports to be released later this year include break-downs of watersheds, American Indian Reservations, Zip Code tabulations, and race, ethnicity and gender profiles.
