Even through the U.S. has pulled out of TPP, leaders in D.C. say trade remains a priority moving forward.  During a recent stop to the district, Senator Maria Cantwell said the average consumer needs to understand how many U.S. products, including agriculture goods, are being sold internationally.  Cantwell also noted the Washington economy has grown and developed through trade, leading to a dramatic increase in trade-depended jobs statewide.

 

“And I want people to get serious about the Export/Import Bank, getting it fully functioning, and keep living up to the goal of increasing our exports.”
