
Butchery Workshops Scheduled For Mid October
Washington State University Extension and the state Department of Agriculture will hold workshops targeted to small to medium sized meat producers or processors who sell to local consumers. WSU Extension Meat Science experts and WSDA Regional Markets Program staff will hold a trio of interactive butchery sessions in the WA Meat up mobile butchery classroom. In addition to the how and when, the workshops will also include discussions on consumer trends, operational efficiencies, product quality, customer communications, value added products, pricing and more.
Each workshop will cost $30, but that includes lunch and refreshments.
Workshops will take place:
- October 19: Workshop for Producers, Goldendale
- October 21: Workshop for Producers, Vancouver
- October 22: Workshop for Processors, Vancouver
