When closing his first State of the Union address, President Joe Biden said "The State of the Union is strong because you The People are strong....go and get em"

During the one hour, five minute long speech the President touched on issues from tax policy to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, but also talked about the bi-partisan infrastructure bill, which he will help farmers and other rural Americans.

"We're gonna provide affordable, high-speed internet for every American; rural and tribal communities; 4,000 projects have already been announced."

The President said this year work begins on fixing 65,000 miles of highways. Many of those miles in rural areas. The President also brought up the need for more competition in the economy. He said for livestock producers in some regions there are only a couple of meat processing companies they can sell to. So, as the President put it, "You play with them, or you don't play at all.".

The President said the result is livestock producers get low prices, consumers pay higher prices.
