Benton Conservation District (BCD) is now accepting applications from landowners to implement conservation projects on private property.  BCD works to encourage wise stewardship of soil, water, air, fish and wildlife.  Some examples of eligible projects include irrigation system conversions, variable frequency drives, pasture fencing, off-channel watering for livestock, fish screens for irrigation, wildlife/pollinator planting, reseeded burned areas, windbreaks and much more.

Landowners who are interested in receiving financial assistance or technical advice begin the process by contacting Benton Conservation District at  (509) 736-6000.
