According to NASS, wheat in storage across the Northwest dropped 27% year-over-year.

In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 32.0 million bushels, down from 45.6 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 25%, while on-farm stocks were down 86% compared to the previous year.

All wheat in storage in Idaho totaled 14.3 million bushels on June 1st, down from 18.7 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 23%, while on-farm stocks were down 25% compared to the previous year.

In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 6.88 million bushels, down from 8.36 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 13 %, while on-farm stocks were down 45% compared to the previous year.

Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 660 million bushels, down from 845 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 19%, while on-farm stocks were down 34% compared to the previous year.

Barley stocks in all positions on June 1, 2022 totaled 14.1 million bushels in Idaho, down from 22.3 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 33%, while on-farm stocks were down 50% compared to the previous year.  In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 328,000 bushels.  On-farm stocks were 70,000 bushels, down 30% compared to the previous year.  Off farm stocks were 258,000 bushels, down 38% from the previous year.  In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 1.25 million bushels, down from 3.46 million a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 70%, while on-farm stocks were up 11% compared to the previous year. Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 42.2 million bushels, down from 71.4 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 35%, while on-farm stocks were down 54% compared to the previous year.

Oats stored in off-farm locations on June 1 totaled 39,000 bushels in Idaho, down from 72,000 bushels a year ago.  Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 32.6 million bushels, down from 38.1 million bushels a year ago.  Off-farm stocks were down 11%, while on-farm stocks were down 21% compared to the previous year.

Corn stored in off-farm locations on June 1, 2022 totaled 3.76 million bushels in Idaho, down from 5.18 million bushels a year ago.  In Washington, corn stored in off-farm locations totaled 5.76 million bushels, down from 8.54 million bushels a year ago. Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 4.35 billion bushels, up from 4.11 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 6%, while on-farm stocks were up 22% compared to the previous year.
