Washington State University will hold a webinar Wednesday for young growers in the U.S. and their counterparts in the Netherlands. This week’s event will allow growers on both sides of the Atlantic to talk about experiences, both good and bad when growing tree fruit. WSU points out the Northwest and Netherland have very similar challenges when it comes to climate, sustainability and labor.

Organizers hope the Webinar will encourage bilateral collaboration, allow participants to discuss technology and “meet” counterparts of similar age.

The event starts at 8 a.m. Pacific. Click Here to register for Wednesday’s Webinar. After this webinar, WSU invites participates to join an ‘Innovative Growers Advisory Board’ that will share their reflections and advise on the technological developments.

Here is WSU's Agenda:

  • CAWADU collaboration & potential projects
  • ‘Innovative Growers Advisory Board’
