The 2018 Washington state Farm Bureau Leadership Conference will descend on North Central Washington this weekend.  Farm Bureau’s Jeff Lutz said in addition to tours of local farms, there will be guest speakers as well as several sessions that should help farmers share their story.  He told the Washington Ag Network  some of the most popular classes will focus on bridging the generational divide.

“Older farmers that are wanting to hand off things to younger farmers and younger farmers that are coming up and wanting the older farmers to realize, hey, I’ve got new ways of doing things, and that will be one of the topics.  Social media the aps on phones and trends and utilization of those.  Getting out of your comfort zone and telling ag’s story, public speaking.”

Lutz said over the three day event, they will see a variety of operations across the area. Click Here to learn more about the Leadership Conference.
