According to NASS, wheat in storage across the Pacific Northwest dropped 41% from March 1st of last year to March 1st, 2022. All wheat stored in Idaho last month totaled 36.7 million bushels, down from 53.3 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 32%, while on-farm stocks were down 31% compared to the previous year. In Oregon, wheat stored in all positions totaled 13.8 million bushels, down from 29.1 million bushels from 2021 numbers. Off-farm stocks were down 52%, while on-farm stocks were down 56% compared to the previous year. In Washington, wheat stored in all positions totaled 56.6 million bushels, down from 99.5 million on March 1st of last year.Offfarm stocks were down 45%, while on-farm stocks were down 13% compared to the previous year.

Nationally, wheat stored in all positions totaled 1.02 billion bushels, down from 1.31 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 17%, while on-farm stocks were down 39% compared to the previous year.

Barley stocks in all positions on March 1st, 2022 totaled 26.9 million bushels in Idaho, down from 34.3 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 8%, while on-farm stocks were down 36% compared to the previous year. In Oregon, barley stored in all positions totaled 442,000 bushels, down from 682,000 bushels a year ago. In Washington, barley stored in all positions totaled 2.04 million bushels, down from 5.99 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 69% percent, while on-farm stocks were down 53% compared to the previous year.

Nationally, barley stored in all positions totaled 72.6 million bushels, down from 120 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 27%, while on-farm stocks were down 55% compared to the previous year.

Oats stored in Off-farm locations in Idaho on March 1st, 2022 were down 61% from the previous year. In Washington, stocks in all positions totaled 32,000 bushels. Oats stored in off-farm locations totaled 32,000 bushels. Nationally, oats stored in all positions totaled 43.0 million bushels, down from 51.5 million bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were down 15%, while on-farm stocks were down 20% compared to the previous year.

Corn stored in off-farm locations in Oregon totaled 1.5 million bushels on March 1st, 2022. In Washington, corn stored in off-farm location totaled 7.49 million bushels, down 34% from the previous year.

Nationally, corn stored in all positions totaled 7.85 billion bushels, up from 7.70 billion bushels a year ago. Off-farm stocks were up 3%, while on-farm stocks were up 1% compared to the previous year
