The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife has suspended its removal of the Profanity Peak wolf pack due to herds being moved off federal land.

Director Jim Unsworth said, “With the pack reduced in size from 12 members to four and most livestock off the grazing allotments, the likelihood of depredations in the near future is low.”

WDFW killed seven members of the pack and believe that only four remain, an adult female and three juveniles.

The agency will monitor the pack and renew efforts if more depredations continue.
