Washington Wheat Found Clear of GMOs
USDA has cleared Washington wheat of GMOs after the discovery of 22 genetically engineered wheat plants earlier this summer.
The grain will now be cleared to enter the marketplace.
USDA’s Animal and Plant Health Inspection Service is investigating how the genetically modified plants ended up in the state.
South Korea also announced they found now GMOs in wheat they tested that had arrived from Washington, but will continue to test all wheat shipments and reject any that contain GMOs.
