Washington Wheat Ambassadors Selected

The Washington Association of Wheat Growers have selected two high school seniors who will serve as Washington’s Wheat Ambassadors for the upcoming year.

Lexi Deishl of Waterville whose family farms on the Waterville Plateau has a 3.9 GPA and also participates in numerous school and community activities including 4H and track.

Kyle Apple of Colfax has a 4.0 GPA in college level courses and participates in 4H, FFA, drama, baseball and many other activities.

While the two will both serve as Wheat Ambassadors for the upcoming year, they will also give a presentation at the Tri-State Grain Growers Convention in Spokane and afterwards one will get a $2,500 scholarship and the other a $2,000 scholarship.
