Conditions continue to warm up and dry out across the Inland Northwest as we transition into May.  Marilyn Lohmann, meteorologist with the National Weather Service said the dry warm conditions will continue into the first week of the new month, with air temperatures slowly warming as we near the weekend.

“Soil temperatures are mainly in the 50's, but they should be warming several degrees through the week, and especially over the weekend.”

In addition to the warm dry conditions, Lohmann said winds are relatively calm across the area.  However we could see afternoon winds as we get closer to the end of the week, but nothing is forecast to greatly impact spraying.  Lohmann added over the next couple of weeks, what you see is what you get.

“Above normal temperatures and below normal precipitation, and that trend is expected to continue through much of the month.”
