The Foreign Agricultural Service arm of USDA will be hosting a trade mission to Egypt in April.

Mark Slupek said they’re very excited.

“Because this is the first time we’ve led a trade mission to North Africa, we’re hoping that we’re going to create some great business opportunities for the people who join us on this mission.”

The mission will include briefings, site visits and one-on-meetings with local importers.

Slupek said meetings will be held in Cairo, but will include representatives from Jordan, Algeria and Lebanon.

“USDA’s local staff in the region will select local companies whose needs and interests align with those of the participating U.S. companies.”
