It's a partnership to educate underserved small scale and organic producers on the importance of risk management and climate smart farm practices.

 

“It is vitally important that the USDA Risk Management Agency partners with organizations across the country that can connect producers with crop insurance, education and farm risk management training.”

 

USDA Risk Management Agency administrator Marsha Bunker recently announced recipients of funding for risk management Education partnership projects.

 

“There are many producers out there. Who don't know about crop insurance, especially those who are new to farming, who have recently immigrated or who have been historically underserved. There are still others who find it difficult to navigate crop insurance.”

 

All together, 15 Organizations, three national, four regional and eight state specific were awarded a total of $4.1 million with partnerships raging and representation including non-profit organizations and land grant university extensions.
