Pasture land continues to show slight improvements over the past week.

"Overall good to excellent rating increasing three percentage points during the week, from 43% to 46% good to excellent, during the week ending May 20th.  The very poor to poor rating is down a point from 20% to 19%."]

USDA meteorologist Brad Rippey said some of the best pasture land in the U.S., is right here in the Northwest.

"Top of the list is Washington state and Idaho at 73%, and we have some pretty lush conditions also in the Mid-west as well as the east."

Rippey said the southwest continues to struggle, with Arizona reporting 90% of their pasture land very poor to poor, New Mexico is not far behind at 67%.
