USDA August Crops Report Highly Anticipated

The USDA will be releasing their crop production forecast on Friday, something that has many analysts, commodity groups and others speculating.

Lance Honig with the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service said this report will end the talk for now.

“August is typically the first opportunity to get a complete unbiased look across the country, across the crops, a very scientific method of determining where we expect the yield and production to be for this season.”

The results come from in-person interviews and expert evaluations on field by the USDA.

The report is released at 9:00 a.m. on Friday.
