
USApple: Apple Numbers Off From 2023-2024 Season
According to the latest numbers from USApple, the total number of apples in storage on March 1st, was 113 million bushels, a 5% drop from last year’s number of 118 million bushels, but 13% more than the five-year average.
Fresh apple holdings this month totaled 81 million bushels, a 4% year-over-year dip from last year. Meanwhile, processing holdings totaled 32 million bushels, down 7% from March 1st, 2024.
When it comes to fresh apple exports, numbers are off from the 23-24 season, but in line with the five-year average. While fresh apple imports were slightly higher than both last year and the five-year average.
According to USApple, this month’s Apple Tracker captured more than 95% of the national storage capacity.
