U.S. Grains Council Takes Roadshow to Mexico
Staff from the U.S. Grains Council recently traveled to Mexico for the 2024 Grain Handling and Storage Roadshow. They conducted a series of informative presentations on proper grain handling and storage methods that can preserve grain quality and save money throughout the supply chain. USGC Mexico Director Heidi Bringenberg and several others spoke to end-users of U.S. feed grains in several Mexican states.
“We’re excited to have seen great attendance and active participation from feed millers and beef, swine, and poultry producers during the roadshow,” Bringenberg said. “That allowed the Council to share storage and handling techniques that prevent grain quality deterioration and demonstrate value."
The Council staff members said Mexico is U.S. agriculture’s biggest trading partner, and it’s important to show purchasers and producers in the country that American farmers aren’t resting on their laurels.
“We always want to support and grow the Mexican market throughout the supply chain,” she added.
