Agriculture exports from the U.S. had declined for three straight months prior to March which saw a $1 billion bump in value over February.

 

USDA Trade Economist Bryce Cooke said March saw $12.4 billion in ag exports, and the first half of the fiscal year is up 15 percent versus last year.

 

“Wheat, for instance, has grown 25 percent this fiscal year. Corn has grown up to 59 percent more in value terms than last fiscal year. Soybeans have grown 23 percent in value terms.”

 

In actual shipments, wheat is up 35 percent, corn 64 percent and soybeans 11 percent. Red meat export value is up 20 percent and dairy is up 14 percent.
