Triplett Winner Of Western Stockman’s Scholarship
Congratulations to Washington’s Aubree Triplett; she was recently named the winner of the 2024 Simplot Western Stockman's Scholarship. The Menlo, WA-native is currently pursuing a degree in Agriculture and Food Business Economics at Washington State University. From helping manage her family's small cattle operation to participating in 4-H, FFA, the Washington State Junior Hereford Association, and the Washington Cattlemen's Association, Triplett says her passion for the livestock industry runs deep. In her commitment to the beef industry continued in college, where she’s currently interning on the Virtual Fence Project at the University of Idaho. Through her work, she said she hopes to contribute to animal health, economic research, and budgeting to make an impact in agribusiness.
Looking ahead, Aubree plans to pursue her master’s degree in economics with an emphasis on agribusiness at the University of Idaho. Triplett says she dreams of a future career in economics or finance within the livestock industry, with a focus on giving back to the beef cattle community that has shaped her journey.
