Tires Critical to Farm Equipment and Pivots

With new tractors and other farm equipment coming out with the newest technology or gadgets to make farming easier, it’s easy to forget a critical component that gets less hype, the tires.

Ryan Weld with Tire Factory says tires are the most important part of any piece of farm equipment because, “When you need that traction to get through the field, that’s what the ag tires will do. When you need stability, that’s what it’s for. When you need to be able to put max load on that tire, that’s what it’s for.”

Weld also noted that ag tires are seeing a lot of innovation with low roll and resistance and the ability to run lower air pressures to increase the footprint and decrease impact.

The most important thing when it comes to ag tires, Weld said it’s air pressure.

“Always make certain that the air pressure is what you need to be for whatever you’re doing with that piece of equipment.”

The higher the speed, the more air pressure the tire will need.
