The 4th of July is just around the corner and it looks like Mother Nature will provide a fireworks show of her own in the coming days.  Marilyn Lohmann with the National Weather Service said we can expected to see hit and miss lightning storms, leading to very little rain now through the holiday.  After that, she said we’ll see a very slight cool down heading into your weekend.  And as we look ahead to the heart of July, Lohmann expects the area to slowly get warmer.

“The outlook through the first week or so is for near normal temperatures trending to above normal temperatures throughout the month, with below normal precipitation.”

Lohmann noted with the increased temperatures, irrigation usage is expected to increase across the area.  Remember for weather anytime, visit our Weather Page.
