Sustainability Needs To Be A Daily Topic

Sustainability means different things for different portions of the agriculture community.  Eric Ott, Field and Market Development Specialist said at Valent USA, sustainability focuses on People, the Planet and Productivity.

“We need to continue to think about how our actions are influencing people as well as the planet. When we're focused on productivity and you know whether that's reducing our environmental impact, or you know is it just benefiting Valent or is it benefiting society as a whole?  And I think that's where we ask ourselves that question every day.”

With Harvest Coming Up, Thinning Remains A Priority

When it comes to tree fruit, he said harvest management is a key focus for Valent.  Ott noted that means a continued emphasis on chemical thinning.

“With Pomaxa or Maxcel and then at harvest managing that harvest with ReTain PGR.  And that will help out with labor and managing your resources.”
