A recent survey shows agriculture retailers are feeling the burden of fluctuating commodity prices.  Low commodity prices and a volatile market stemming from trade concerns are on the minds of retailers, according to the survey published by Proagrica.

 

65% of respondents are feeling financial pressure due to fluctuating commodity pricing and competition.  Elsewhere, 68% felt that enhanced management of sales and productivity would provide substantial value.  More than 75% of Ag Retailers are actively seeking improvements to their current systems, both for themselves and for their customers.  The survey was sent to 5,000 U.S. business in the retail Ag sector.

 

Respondents answered a total of 11 questions, focusing on the most pressing factors affecting profitability, growth, and the extent to which data and analytics are implemented into their current systems.
