Idaho cattle producers have reason to be optimistic, noted Cameron Mulrony.  The Executive Vice President of the Idaho Cattle Association said prices are expected to move higher in the coming months.

“We are under a tight cattle supply. The cattle numbers across the nation are lower than they have been in in quite some time.  And you know, luckily for us, demand for beef has continued to remain high and you know, supply and demand, it leads to a good price structure for the for the cow calf producer.”

Mulrony added that because of the tight margins many producers have been addressing for the past couple of years, higher prices are encouraging.
