The Thomas K. Mathison Scholarship is for $20,000 and is awarded to students who display high moral character. That was given to Marcos Quiroz who is pursuing a degree in tree fruit management, and Martimeano Villa who has a 3.96 at Toppenish High School.

Four other students will receive between $2,500 and $4,000 as winner of the Renewal Scholarship or the Single Year Scholarship. They were UCLA student Amaris Casarez, Wenatchee Senior Edgar Apolinar, Daisy Montejano who just graduated from Wenatchee High, Eastmont Senior Jasmin Guerrero, Wenatchee grad Sami Everhart, and Eastmont grad Jose Torres Arellano.

Earlier this month, Stemilt presented WAEF with a check for $51,800 that was raised by the 9th Annual Thomas K. Mathison Golf Tournament that was held at the Wenatchee Golf and Country Club.
