For the fourth year in a row, Stemilt employees joined together to ensure that every North Central Washington child in foster care received a gift from the Christmas wish list.  Stemilt’s Brianna Shales told he Washington Ag Network this event is something the employees look forward to every year.

“It’s not Stemilt the company that’s adopting these children, it’s our generous employees digging into their pockets and giving back to children that are separated from their loved ones.”

This year, Stemilt employees gave 145 children a gift.  The kids range in age from birth up to 18 years old.  Shales added they want to impact the communities in which they work.

“We farm in many communities across Central Washington, and so we really like to try to keep our giving back contributions within those communities, so that we can support not only our employees but their families.”

On top of the gifts, several Stemilt employees volunteered at the annual foster family holiday party, which was held December 19th at Blossom Valley Assisted Living Facility in Wenatchee.
