The Walter Clore Wine and Culinary Center is hosting their second annual Rising Stars tasting event on Saturday, May 20th.

Executive Director Abbey Cameron said last year’s inaugural event was incredibly successful and really matched their outlook for the event.

“We were just thinking about different ways that we might be able to further show support and give some wineries a leg up and we thought that giving new wineries a spotlight and some more exposure might be a great way to do that.”

This year’s event will be a walking and tasting event that runs from 1-4 p.m.

Cameron said that despite their connection to the industry, there were so many new wineries opening, it was hard to keep up with all of them and she hopes this can bring these startups some new fans.

“Everybody is going to get a program that lists all the wineries so they can make notes and remember what they liked and maybe plan to visit the area where that winery’s tasting room is located, so we really hope that it has lasting effects beyond for these wineries.”

Early-bird tickets are available through April 30th and if you want to purchase them, or get more information visit theclorecenter.org.
