The farming community will take over the Lilac City next week for the 2025 Spokane Ag Show.  Show Director Melisa Paul said they are planning for roughly 6,000 attendees, 3,000 exhibitors and representatives, along with nearly 50 professional farm forum seminars.

"Ten of those are pesticide recertification. All of our Recertifications are approved for both Washington and Idaho, and this year, actually, Oregon approved seven of them. It’s been a couple years since we've offered Oregon, so we wanted to pull them back in.”

Paul said another bright spot is the growth in big iron on display.

"So, there's going to be lots of things to look at and climb on for the kiddos, which is really, really good. We've got a full map for this year, and we know the Ag market has struggled, so we're very, very pleased with our turnout, considering this last season especially.”

Also new this year, the Spokane Ag Show scholarships, which will be presented at the start of FFA day.  Paul said this program is for active Inland Northwest farm youth.  Area high school seniors who plan to study agriculture after graduation were eligible.  Paul says this year they will handout two $4,000 individual scholarships, as well as one $2,000 FFA/4H club award.
