The USDA released their look at the planting and harvesting of spring and winter wheat in the Northwest for 2017 in comparison to 2016 and unsurprisingly it showed drops in both.

Oregon planted and harvested 20,000 acres of winter wheat though yield per acre was up significantly. The Beaver State also dropped 15,000 acres planted of spring wheat though again yield per acre was up.

In Washington the same acreage size was planted, but 20,000 less acres were harvested and yield per acre was down. For spring wheat, there was nearly 50,000 acres planted and harvested while yield per acre dropped.

Meanwhile barley plantings were up in Oregon, but down in Washington with yield per acre down in both states.
