Working on the farm can be very dangerous, especially for some of the youngest workers and helpers.  In an effort to protect children across the nation the Childhood Agricultural Safety Network in kicking off its 25th year with a virtual meeting at 8 a.m. (PT) on Friday, January 17th.

The coalition of nearly 250 individuals and organizations is dedicated to children and youth growing up safely on farms and ranches.  The network includes farm parents, youth-serving organizations, groups representing underserved populations and agribusiness leaders.

“The whole idea behind the CASN group is to enhance communication between people and organizations interested in child safety and health,” said Andrea Swenson, Ph.D., director, National Children’s Center, part of the National Farm Medicine Center and Marshfield Clinic Research Institute. “If we all work together, we can do more than any of us can individually.”

Friday’s on-line meeting is free.  To register for Friday’s webinar Click Here.
