The best and the brightest Farm Bureau members from across the country will soon take part in the FUSION Conference March 7th-10th in Denver, CO.  Amy Jo Estes, a member of the AFBF Promotion & Education committee, said the conference will bring together AFBF’s three hallmark programming committees.

“FUSION is an opportunity for all of the American Farm Bureau committees to get together. We have representatives from Young Farmers & Ranchers. We have the Women's Committee, as well as Promotion & Education," she noted.  "Each of us have kind of their own leadership opportunities, advocacy pieces. We work with all the committees to share what they're doing, and it's an opportunity to kind of fuse all of those together in one place.”

Estes said there’s a robust program in store.

“For me, the top of the list is [keynote speaker] Temple Grandin.  I've had the privilege of hearing her speak more than once. Such a unique approach to everything in life.  We have tons of breakout sessions, and we also have an opportunity to give back to the area that we are going to be in, so lots of different activities for that.  For me, Promotion & Education, our highlight is we are going to a culinary school and going to visit with some future chefs.”

The deadline to register for the conference is February 6.  Estes said it’s a great learning and networking opportunity that doesn’t come along often for each committee.

“And it's an opportunity to kind of fuse all of those together in one place. The lineup of workshops, speakers, breakouts, are all agriculture, but it's all different pieces of agriculture, so there's really something for everyone.”
