The Pacific Northwest Vegetable Association’s 31st annual conference kicked off in Kennewick Wednesday.  PNVA Secretary Casey Crookham told the Washington Ag Network the two day event has many options for local growers.

“Probably one of the most progressive grower meetings in the western United States, focused on Vegetables, and it’s a very progressive show with a lot of vendors and it’s growing ever year.”

He added with researchers from Washington State University and Oregon State offering the latest research, the conference allows growers to stay connected with the latest information.  Crookham added in addition to the continuing education, there’s opportunities to network with a variety of companies.

“There’s a heck of a lot of people here from all sorts of different trades, and then we have alied industries, there’s crop insurance finance in addition to seed and equipment and plastic bin storage, and all sorts of equipment on display as well.”

The Conference wraps up Thursday with focus on organics and pest management.
