Jamie Peha has been named interim Executive Director of the Auction of Washington Wines.  She takes over for Shelley Tomberg who stepped down in January after 18 months on the job.  Peha said she’s excited for this new opportunity to represent the Washington Wine Industry.

“It’s something that I’ve been really passionate about for many years, I use to work for the Washington Wine Commission, so this is a little bit of a switch up, because this is a philanthropic event that raises money for both Seattle Children’s and Washington State University Viticulture and Enology research.”

Peha is confident growers will benefit from her new role.

“I think they have a certain confidence in me, and the longevity I’ve had in the wine industry, to be able to talk about the great work that they do, and raise the bar for Washington Wine.”

Peha said her career highlights include building Taste Washington into a nationally recognized event, growing the Seattle Wine and Food Experience into a two-day financially viable event and serving as interim director for both Woodinville Wine Country and the Walla Walla Valley Wine Alliance.
