Oil prices and fuel prices moved up noticeably during the first week of April.  Oil prices hit a five month high closing at $63 per barrel last week.  That encouraged diesel prices to move up as well.

The national average for a gallon of diesel increased one cent in the past week to $3.03, while Washington’s rate jumped three cents to $3.29 a gallon, while Oregon’s diesel prices increased two cents to $3.15 a gallon.

Those oil prices also impacted gasoline prices, pushing those costs to the highest prices reported in several month.

When looking at the lowest diesel prices across the Inland Northwest:

  • $3.05 a gallon in the Tri-Cities
  • $2.99 a gallon in Wenatchee
  • $2.99 a gallon in Quincy
  • $3.01 a gallon in Pendleton
  • $3.15 a gallon in Yakima
  • $3.09 a gallon in Moses Lake
  • $3.21 a gallon in Walla Walla
