Oil Prices Drop, But Fuel Prices Hold
Oil prices are moving lower to start spring. The price for a barrel of oil is hovering around $49, and Patrick DeHaan with GasBuddy.com told the Washington Ag Network this is the first time in three months or so the price has dropped out of the $51 to $54 a barrel range.
“And at least so far, it’s having a minor impact on refined products like diesel and gasoline, but certainly at this time of year, more, it’s mitigating the normal springtime rally we see in the refined product.”
But, despite the drop in crude oil prices, diesel and gasoline prices have not budged. According to AAA, the national average for a gallon of diesel held steady at $2.51, the Washington average dropped one cent to $2.86, while Oregon’s average did not change at $2.67 a gallon.
Here are some of the lowest diesel prices we could find across the Inland Northwest:
- $2.65 a gallon in Pasco
- $2.77 a gallon in Walla Walla
- $2.69 a gallon in Yakima
- $2.79 a gallon in Quincy
- $2.63 a gallon in Moses Lake
- $2.56 a gallon in Pendleton
- $2.63 a gallon in Moses Lake
- $2.67 a gallon in Wenatchee
