Fewer Oregonians are getting health insurance through the state's Marketplace, but the overall number still remains high.  According to the Oregon Health Authority, nearly 140,000 people signed up for health insurance through Oregon's Marketplace this year.  The OHA’s Amy Coven said that's about 5,000 fewer people than last year.

"We did have a decrease in enrollment through the Marketplace, but people are still really valuing health insurance," Coven said.  "We're seeing that even with folks moving to the new OHP Bridge program that folks are still valuing private coverage through the Marketplace."

OHP Bridge is for some people who don't qualify for the Oregon Health Plan.  More than 32,000 people have Bridge coverage.

"If anyone is not covered by health coverage right now and they are still looking, even though open enrollment has ended, they may qualify for a special enrollment period," Coven said.

She added despite uncertainty in federal funding, insurance for 2025 is locked in.
