Northwest Feeling Very Fall Like

The weather across the Inland Northwest has turned noticeably cooler over the past couple of days.  Dennis Hull with the National Weather Service says temperatures across the region are expected to be below normal over the next couple of days, and the area will also see showers roll in from the Pacific.  So, will we see any of the white stuff in the not too distant future?

“Oh yea, I think there will be some snow up above 4,000’, maybe some heavier amounts above 5,000’, but there will certainly be some new snow showing up on the mountains here.”

Hull noted following the stormy weather over the next couple of days, the Northwest should clear out, which means beautiful sunshine during the day, but very cold temperatures overnight.

“You get into mid-October, and yeah, most places will have had their first freeze normally.”

Hull also noted at the end of the month, the Inland Northwest enters into the foggy season, which means we could see fog develop and stick around into November, December and even January.
