Dry conditions continue to spread across the Northwest.  The USDA says over 57% of the Evergreen state under a D0 designation, or Abnormally Dry, while nearly 12%, in the southwestern portion of the state is under a Moderate Drought designation.  In fact, the portion of the state that’s on par for this time of year stretches from North Central Washington to the Palouse.

In Oregon, most of the state is at least Abnormally Dry, while 68% is under the D1, or Moderate Drought designation.  And 18% of the Beaver state stretching from Central Oregon to the SE corner of the state is under a Severe Drought.  The only portion of Oregon not considered dry is the extreme NE corner, in Umatilla, Union and Wallowa counties.
