The Washington Department of Fish and Wildlife shot and killed a member of a Ferry County wolf pack over the weekend.  WDFW said a marksman fatally shot a male member of the Togo pack.  The shooting near Danville in northern Ferry County took place Sunday, just a few days after a Thurston County judge cleared the Department to kill the wolf which was wearing a radio collar.

WDFW officials have determined that the Togo pack targeted livestock on six different occasions in less than a year.  When three incidents were reported in a month, the state said it was allowed to take lethal actions.  There are over 20 confirmed wolf packs across Washington, with most in the Northeast corner of the state.
