Linfield Receives Funds To Expand Wine Studies

Linfield College has received a large gift to help expand its wine studies program.  The college based in McMinnville, OR said the $6 million donation will create an endowed faculty position and fund the construction of a wine laboratory.

The college says the donation from local winery founders Grace and Ken Evenstad is the largest in support of wine studies in Oregon history.  It's also one of the largest gifts ever received by the McMinnville-based college.

Linfield currently offers a wine studies minor, along with certificates in wine marketing and management, and is developing a wine studies major.
