As harvest intensifies across the Inland Northwest, farmers will tell you time is money.  And Les Schwab says they’ve worked to minimize the amount of down time a farmer deals with.  Brian Broadie manager of the Kennewick Les Schwab, says tire technology has made great strides over the last 5-7 years allowing farmers to stretch their dollars even further.

“Called an IFVF, a tire that can carry 20%-40% more weight with the same air pressure which results in less ground compaction with these larger pieces of equipment.  SO, this is allowing farmers to do more with less equipment and in roughly half the time.”

Broadie added they work hard to have a large selection tires to meet agriculture needs.  And he said ag tire purchases come with a service guarantee, which means Les Schwab will travel to the farm or field if service is needed.

“Time is money, down time is key, and it also saves them not having the equipment to pull off something that’s so large or so big to get it to us.  The quicker we can get them on the road the more successful of a harvest they can have and truly that’s our goal.  We want our customers to be successful.”
