Columbia Legal Services started issuing checks this weekend to over 700 people involved in a lawsuit settlement that started back in March.  That suit alleges farm workers were fired in 2012, when they called 911 after a manager showed a firearm in a Yakima Valley orchard.  The unidentified manager reportedly fired one shot that did not hit anyone.  In 2013, a judge awarded the workers over $1 million in damages.  In March, the state Supreme Court agreed and a settlement was reached.
