Grandview Getting Loud for Taste Washington

Students in the Grandview School District are celebrating Taste Washington day with a crunch.

At 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, Grandview students will grab a crisp Washington apple and take a bite together to create a loud crunch.

The goal is to bring awareness to the district’s dedication to provide local fruits and vegetables to the students as healthy options.

Vickie Ayers of the Washington School Nutrition Association, who is partnering with Grandview for the event, says “The key to getting our children to want to eat healthy and nutritious foods is to introduce them early and often in their meals.”

Grandview is one of 37 districts celebrating Taste Washington Day.
