Farmer from Shark Tank Fame To Visit the Tri-Cities During 3rd Annual PNW Agie

The Washington Ag Network’s Pacific Northwest Ag Industry Expo, is November 7^th and 8^th at TRAC in Pasco.  The PNW Agie has become a fall-time staple for the Inland Northwest farming community.  In addition to the typical large equipment, drone demonstration and pesticide classes, this year, the PNW Agie will host Johnny Georges.

Georges, an orange grower from Florida rocketed to fame after an appearance on ABC’s Shark Tank, promoting his Tree Teepee.  His honest approach at doing business and disinterest at making money at the expense of American farmers, won him the respect of the entire panel of sharks, as well as $150,000 and a partnership with John Paul DeJoria.  The Shark Tank episode featuring Georges has been viewed millions of times on line, and has been used as a form of inspiration for not only the farming community, but those outside of agriculture.

Georges will be headline a jam packed PNW Agie, which includes the Washington Farm Hall, featuring state senators Judy Warnick and Sharon Brown.  This lively panel discussion, moderated by the Washington Policy Center, takes a look at what issues will have the greatest impact on the farming community in 2019 and beyond.  The Washington Farm Hall received rave reviews in 2017, and is expected to be even bigger this year.

Big Bend Community College from Moses Lake returns to demonstrate the latest in drone technology, and how UAVs can help operations of any size in the 21^st century.

“We’re so involved in the agriculture community here on the east side of the mountains.  And every community has their own outreach organization, whether it’s 4-H, FFA, community colleges and things like that. The 3^rd annual PNW Agie runs 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday November 7^th and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Thursday November 8^th.
