
Farm Computer Use Highest in North Central and Western U.S.
Use of computers on farms for farm business increased by four percent from 2015 to 2017, but who are most common users?
Dan Kerestes with the USDA’s National Agricultural Statistics Service breaks it down by region.
“In the West, 49 percent of the producers are making use of this versus the North Central at 50 percent, the Northeast at 48 percent and the South at 42 percent.”
Crop producers are also more likely than livestock producers to use computers for farm business, 52 percent to 42 percent.
