For the first time as President of the American Farm Bureau, Zippy Duvall visited Oregon Thursday morning.  He addressed member of the Oregon Farm Bureau during the 85th Convention taking place in Pendleton.  He said the drive from the Portland area to Pendleton really opened his eyes to the wide variety of agriculture produced in Oregon.

“Just to see the change in landscape the change in agriculture, it’s just awesome and it gave me a little taste and made me hungry to come back and be able to get out on a farm and visit some of these great farmers.”

During Thursday’s address Duvall discussed several ag topics vital to Oregon farmers, including ag labor, tax reform, trade and endangered species.

The Oregon Farm Bureau Convention wraps up Friday.
